Doing Business delivers quantified, comparable measures of business opportunities, forces of interdependence, and social, financial and economic factors that influence business internationally. Published annually since 2002, it measures the efficiency and strength of laws, business opportunities, regulations and institutions relevant to companies throughout their life cycles. The Report ranks the economies in 10 areas of business opportunities, such as starting a business, resolving insolvency and trading across borders. The Report provides a great context to analyse the current global financial and economic issues facing nations.
Doing Business 2017: Equal Opportunity for All, a World Bank Group flagship publication, is the 14th in a series of annual reports measuring the regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it. Doing Business presents quantitative indicators on business regulations and the protection of property rights that can be compared across 190 economies—from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe—and over time.
