Launch of the World Bank Report on Doing Business

An International Business Forum will be held as part of the 28th Australasian Finance and Banking Conference on the 16th of December from 11am-1pm at Shangri-la Hotel in Sydney. The topic of the Forum will be Global and Regional Financial Stability. This event will bring together leading practitioners, business leaders and the keynote speakers of the conference. Speakers include Dr. Guy Debelle, Assistant Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia and Nobel Laureate Professor Myron Scholes, who is well-known in the world of finance for his contributions to the creation of derivatives markets. Additionally, Dr. Augusto Lopez-Claros, Director of the World Bank Indicators Group, will launch the World Bank report, Doing Business 2016, which provides tools for enhancing global competitiveness and increasing global interdependence.

Doing Business delivers quantified, comparable measures of business opportunities, forces of interdependence, and social, financial and economic factors that influence business internationally. Published annually since 2002, it measures the efficiency and strength of laws, business opportunities, regulations and institutions relevant to companies throughout their life cycles.
