Professor Reena Aggarwal from Georgetown University visited the IGF at UNSW on April 22, 2014. Professor Aggarwal is the Robert E. McDonough Professor of Business Administration and Professor of Finance of Georgetown University and the Director of Center for Financial Markets and Policy.

Professor Fariborz Moshirian, the Director of IGF, interviewed Professor Reena Aggarwal. This interview covered two broad perspectives: the Small and Medium Business; and the financial stability and regulatory issues after GFC. The following questions were addressed during that interview:

  • Why are the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) important;
  • Why is it challenging for SMEs to raise capital;
  • What is the objective of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act or JOBS Act in the United States;
