AUSTRALASIAN CONFERENCE (AFBC)

The Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (AFBC) is organised by  the IGF at the UNSW Business School.  The AFBC is one of the most signficant finance and banking conference in the Asia Pacific region, with attendance of hundreds of people from countries all around the world. The conference is providing a first class service to the finance community both in Australia and overseas. A large number of academics, including Phd candidates, present their papers and also receive useful comments from the discussants of their papers.

The conference is also engaged with the finance industry and the policy makers by creating a major inernationa policy business fora. The Reserve Bank, BlackRock, PwC, ASX, CFA Institute  are amongst the conference sponsors. The keynote speakers of this conference have been amongst the most eminenant resarchers around the world includng the following three Nobel Laureates:  Robert Engle, (NYU), Robert  Merton (MIT) and  William Nordhaus ( Princeton). 

The conference also offers a PhD Forum at which many eminent PhD candidates from top business schools in the US, Europe and Asia present their papers. The PhD Forum will usually be held one day before the main conference.
